Who is Francesco Preti?
the full story.
Born on an ominous Friday the 13th - wait, no, 17th - it only took a diploma, a degree, and a global pandemic for him to realize he wanted to dedicate his life to one thing: telling stories.
Having somehow survived twenty-seven years of life - despite once being told, quoting, “Preti, your writing is clumsy” - in the distant summer of 2023 he graduated with top honors in Screenwriting from the Scuola Internazionale di Comics in Rome, where he was lucky enough to meet some outstanding mentors.
In the fall of the same year, he joined the writing team at Ehm Autoproduzioni, where he writes and curates the ongoing series The Dead Man Tale and a second anthology project set to be released in fall 2025.
In 2024, he created and scripted PLANET, a five-issue comic series for NET SpA, focused on recycling and environmental awareness, which is currently in the pipeline for publication.
Several of his works are slated for release in fall 2025: Dio è con me!, a short comic story for Attaccapanni Press; Carry the Weight, a comic adaptation of the homonymous sci-fi short story for Future Fiction; Voraci, his second project with Ehm Autoproduzioni; and two other titles that must remain (for now) shrouded in secrecy. But yes - there will be pirates.
Today, he writes. Always. When he’s not writing, he reads. And when he’s not reading… well, he must be sleeping.
And yes, this third-person bio was written by him. By me. I’ve… he's never quite figured out how these things are supposed to work.
